The Ascot House was originally built in 1892 near Mr W H Baxter as a traditional Victorian family residence. It has now been elegantly transformed into a 19-bedroom hotel.For home-from-home comfort, all bed rooms have en suite bath/shower, well-lit desk, telephone, TV, radio/alarm, hairdryer, tea/coffee amenities and electric blankets. Superior & Four Poster rooms (with trouser press & ironing facilities) are as well available (supplement applies). The Ascot Room, a snug sitting room with open fires in the winter, is the ideal place to enjoy afternoon tea or just curl up with a good book.Relax in comfort in the informal friendly ambience of our lounge bar - or take in our sunshine on the patio balcony.Enjoy the evening in our chic restaurant which provides traditional English and Continental dishes, prepared using the premium fresh produce. Complement your meal with a bottle of wine from our well-stocked cellar - many imported direct for extra value.Breath-taking grounds and floral displays have earned Harrogate wide acclaim and the traditional Turkish baths and Royal Pump Room Museum are well worth a visit. You will find some of the best shopping in Yorkshire, together with lively restaurants, wine bars, night clubs and theatres.A wealth of highlights including stately homes and momentous castles lie within a short drive together with the stunning scenery of the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors. - On booking, a non-refundable deposit of GBP 50 per room will be charged to your credit card. If you cancel or shorten your stay, the balance of the accommodation will be charged to your card unless we are able to re-let the accommodation.- Please note personal receptions/dinner parties (with discos until midnight) sometimes take place in the hotel, particularly at weekends and in December. patrons are still welcome to use the bar lounge and have super in the dining-room (which is in a separate vicinity of the building). Quieter bed rooms are offered on request.- If you experience difficulty in making a booking or the hotel appears to be fully booked, please call us as bed rooms may have become available. Our latest check-in time is 10. After this time our reception desk is not manned.- children under 14 sharing a room with 2 adults pay GBP 7.50 each, per night, towards breakfast and linen costs.- All our bed rooms are 'non-smoking'. patrons are welcome to smoke in the bar lounge.- Well behaved dogs are welcome near prior arrangement at a charge of GBP 10.00 per dog, per stay.
