The Best Western Roundabout Hotel is an oasis of tranquility, that sanctuary you've long been seeking. A striking up to date mock Tudor House built near a local artist who moved to the vicinity in about 1925. Over a period of time he built several cottages named 'Roundabout', which is an old English term for a Spinney, which means a thicket with under wood, hence the vicinity is known as Roundabout (not because we are nearby a roundabout). The hotel is located in it's own grounds of two acres nearby to the striking South Downs, a walker's or runner's bliss (South Downs Link to Eastbourne). It is quietly tucked away from the noise of traffic and yet close to the main road, railway and is an easy run of 46 miles from London. If you want to be energetic there's fantastic golf at the West Chiltington 18 hole golf course 3 miles away (we can book T off times), horseback riding, with cycling or walking over the Downs a must, or if you just want to laze and sniff the scent of pine trees, there's no more restful, sunny and healthy place to be.
