Hotel Description
The Grand Hotel Regina Alpin Welllfit, member of the prestigious Leading little Hotels of the World, is located in the centre of the striking glacier village Grindelwald in the middle of the Swiss Alps. situated opposite the little rail station, it forms the ideal starting point for a day of superb skiing in the vast ski areas of the Jungfrau region, or an memorable excursion to the Jungfraujoch "The Top of Europe." The hotel was built in 1900 for the then predominantly Brittish clientele. The turreted Victorian-style building still reflects the spirit of those days. In 1955 the hotel was bought near Mr. Alfred Krebs and completely refurbished. Millions more have been invested since, with the principal aim to enhance visitor comfort. 1977 marked the opening of the Reginahaus, a chalet style building which houses nine luxurious apartments for two to six persons. The Reginahaus is linked to the main building near an underground passage with a shopping arcade and direct access to the new Alpin Wellfit Club.
