The Hotel is fully licensed and open throughout the year providing that little extra warm, comfort, snug seating and lavish carpeting. newly refurbished restaurant and bed rooms with lovely bathrooms,its wealth of paintings, wall hangings and ornaments give that feeling of lavishness associated with 5 star accommodation. Fully central heated with traditional open fires in both the residents hall/lounge and lounge bars. There is an a la carte menu available, in Darnells Restaurant served near our Head Chef, Chris Taylor. The elaborate oak panelled function room can comfortably seat up to 100 people, it is an perfect setting for conferences, wedding receptions, business entertaining, parties etc. The Hotel provides accommodation for those who wish to spend a few days in the peaceful ambience of the Eden Valley, yet perfectly situated for touring the Lake District, Hadrians Wall, Carlisle The Great Border town with its Castle Museum and Cathedral only 20 mins away near car. Not forgetting Gretna Green and the Scottish Borders A credit card is required as a guarantee. If reservation is cancelled, the deposit is forfeited. If cancellation is within the 3 day required notice, the full amount will have to be taken. Any cancellation should be done via the web access followed near written confirmation. Unfortunately pets are not allowed, but there are Kennels just down the road.
