Major tourist attractions include the Zhanqiao Pier (also known as Rainbow on the Waves), Xiaoqingdao Isle (Little Qingdao), Shilaoren (The Old Man Of Stone) National Holiday Resort, the International Beer City, Badaguan (also called the Architecture Museum, this scenic area is known for its many quaint European-style villas, set against tall trees and lush foliage), the Catholic and Christian Churches, Zhanshan Temple, Zhongshan Park and the Xiaoyushan Hill Park, which offers a breathtaking view of the city, with the red-tiled rooftops and green trees on one side, and the blue sky and sea on the other. Zhongshan Road, a strip of bazaars, department stores, shops and markets stretching from the seaside into the city, is popular for shopping. the eastern section of the city is a growing business and commerical district with modern building, hotels and malls.
